Levitt by the Sea, Works by Alfred Levitt (1894-2000)

Ridderhof Martin Gallery, Levitt by the Sea showcases the works of the Modernist artist Alfred Levitt (1894-2000) during his summers in the artist colony of Gloucester, Massachusetts. This exhibition was curated by the students of UMW’s ARTH 317 course, Laboratory in Museum Studies, with guidance from Dr. Tracy Stonestreet. Student curators include Elissa Austin, Amelia Bailey, Chiara Baez, Isabella Capozzi, Nico Indovina, MJ Jebo, Kelsey Keith, Sky Piazza, Sophia Prewitt, Natalia Ramirez, Cara Smith, Naomi Trout, Rowan Tully, and Jack Zobrist. The accompanying timeline was curated by the Spring 2024 UMW Interns: Shanna Aberle, Maggie Copeland,  Eric Hummer, Kendell Jenkins, and Grace Lefcourt.

Open Wednesday-Sunday, 10:00am to 4:00pm through April 28th.
